Lydia is a beautiful Seven!

Love that face.
Lydia Carol
7 Years Old
February 2016

Our dearest Lydia!

At seven years old, she is just discovering her own personality. She is learning how to handle bigger feelings and emotions with still a little mind and body. Lydia is lively, vivacious, strong, silly, thoughtful, and helpful! Her favorite role is that of a teacher. She LOVES sharing what she knows and trying to help others achieve what she can do. She is always seeking ways to spice up her little brother and sister's lives (adding "fun" in wherever possible....and even where it isn't possible...).
Lydia is at the age where whenever any one comes to our house, she wants to share ALL of her happiness and excitement with them all at once, whether they have a minute to listen or not.....

Oh Lydia my firey little spirit. You will go great places!

Her interests right now:
She is learning to speak and understand Spanish.
She has now reached level 3 in Gymnastics. (cartwheels, round-offs, handstands, backbend/kick-overs, leaps on balance beam, back hip circles on bars)
She will be playing soccer again in the spring.
Playing imaginative games where she is the one in charge! :) (i.e. school and she is the teacher, house and she is the mom, pets and she is the owner....etc)
She loves to dance and thinks that shaking her bootie is so silly.
Always looking for ways to "surprise," or "trick," people. I think she just really likes it when people laugh or smile because of something she did so she enjoys trying to make people laugh.

I was trying to get her to hold her scarf up and let it blow in the wind as she walked, but she just kept doing this and cracking herself up about it! hahaha.

She is very modest and will not wear anything too short, she hates seams, lace, and tags on her clothes. She is VERY picky about underwear, socks, and shoes. They cannot rub wrong in ANY way or be too loose or too tight or too tall or too short etc.

She helped me with these words she feels like describe her (I agree with all of them...except possibly optimistic :) but we are working on that one a lot, so I think that's why she thought of adding it). And she picked out each of the colors too. I think her favorite colors right now are blue like the light blue strip on her dress and green like the color of the word 'generous'.

Love her tooth gap. It's been fun as she has lost her baby teeth.
