We were itching to see our new surroundings! We took a nice long drive up into the canyon. Our intent was to go on a hike, but it ended up being a little further than we had anticipated... we weren't expecting to have to pay to go on our hike around the lake. The woman at the office told us we could avoid the fee if we didn't stay longer than half an hour. Perfect! We walked around for a sufficient time for our little crew and then packed it up and stopped for lunch at a little opening by the river on our way out of the canyon. It was beautiful!
