We actually played at the park while the Gelvins went swimming. We weren't quite up for swimming that day.

July 4th 2014
I know. This is out of chronologic order, but I need to catch up A LOT! So this is for the 4th this past summer! We had a great time just slowly getting ready in the morning. We decorated the kids bikes for a little scooter/bike parade at the park with William and Gabriel. And Lydia and I painted our nails for the day. After lunch we headed in the Gelvin direction. The kids took their naps in the car...hate to do that to their little necks, but sometimes, you just gotta. We got to the park and played for a good while. Nicolette and her family had spent the morning at the pool. She ran home to heat up some yummy food and bring back to the park for us. We indulged with popcorn chicken, pizza bites, egg rolls and some other fun finger foods. We had a yummy ice cream cake, then had a fun Independence Day Parade consisting of our children. Despite a little crash the first go around, it turned out perfect! They rode through our little tunnel and just had a blast! It was fun. The adults even got a little beach volleyball game in and it was a SO fun to get to do that while the kids actually played with each other! We packed up and headed over to Manassas for the Fireworks show. We had our own little sparkler show and poppers while we waited as well as some glowstick games. :) It was a great day and we all had a wonderful time together.
