Epic Road Trip Part 9: The Masners

After traveling several days in a PACKED car, emptying our bank account at hotels, eating pasta salad (noodles made beforehand, salad assembled on the road) for days, living on tuna fish sandwiches and some crumbled up muffins (made and froze before the trip), and some muddy buddies that lost their appeal after day 3, we were, needless to say, ANXIOUS to arrive at Chris's brother's house in Kaysville, UT. There we spent about a week hanging out and enjoying some down time with the cousins. What gratitude we have for them and for their generous hospitality in sheltering us until our apartment was ready to be moved into and Chris had secured a job!
 We played at parks.

We fed the ducks. The kids thought these baby ducks were the bees' knees!

We climbed trees. (And of course had contests/arguments about who could climb the highest...ehem...Lydia and Isaac...)

We did a LOT of swinging on the cool swings in their back yard.

Shot some bow and arrow....and some other argentine lasso thing that I can't recall the name of, but Chris and Matt had a ball trying to catch the children with it as they ran around.

We did some crazy hair contests! Stylist credit: Lydia, Kate, and Chris

Miles and these boys all got along so well! It was so much fun to be reunited with cousins (especially when we just moved so far from others! :( )
We went swimming and wore ourselves out!

We just love that Masner bunch and we are so excited to be able to see more of them.
