Lydia's New Earrings

A little while ago, I caught Lydia attempting to push one of the earrings that her Aunt Rachel so graciously gave her through her ear. I figured maybe it was time that we got her ears pierced. So we talked with her about it and she was nervous, but said it was something that she wanted. So we took her for her birthday. She was so so very excited. She was stunned at how much it hurt, poor girl, but she recovered after about ten minutes (and a handful of watermelon gummies) and has been fine since.

A teenage boy just had his done and made it look so easy! She couldn't wait for her turn.

Getting a little nervous....

Getting the markings on so her earrings didn't come out lopsided.

So Excited!

Things are much better with a mouthful of sugar! :) (you can see the teardrops on her little purple shirt, what a brave kiddo.)

And she's all smiles...

On the way home she was complaining that getting it done hurt. I told her, "Lydia, we told you it was going to hurt a little bit." She quickly corrected me, "It DIDN'T hurt a little bit! It hurt A LOT!" You are beautiful Lydia and we are proud of you for being brave.
