Tornado = Awful!; Visit from Cousins = Awesome!

Marcella and her Rich family were unfortunate this year and found themselves in the path of a EF-5 tornado! Their home was destroyed and many of their belongings, including their car. We were very concerned about them for several hours because we did not have ability to communicate, but they were safely tucked away in a storm shelter and despite being a little shaken up, they are all just fine! We got lucky and got to spend several days with them while they figured out a new place to live. We have had so much fun spending our first summer days with them.

We went roller skating one night for Family Home Evening. It was a great success. No one was injured and everyone enjoyed themselves. Garrett was especially fun to watch because he had never been before and we watched as he STRUGGLED for the longest time, but WOULD NOT give up! By the end of the night he was cruising around on his own!

Chris's first time on skates was a fun thing to witness as well. Only a couple of spills throughout the night.

Glad they have this fun little play place tucked away in the corner for those who can't skate or just get tired of it. Miles enjoyed playing with Grandma in there. Although she said he did NOT like the slide, however, a couple of minutes later Chris accompanied him and seemed to enjoy the slide....? Weirdo boy.
