Christmas at the Capitol

National Christmas Trees and White House Washington D.C. 2012

We love the tradition of going to see the National Christmas Trees at President's Park in Washington D. C. There is a Christmas tree decorated for every state. Santa even has a little workshop set up there and they take free pictures with Santa. We had a more pleasant experience than the last time we took Lydia. It was EXTREMELY cold that year. This time it wasn't too bad and I was prepared with some hot chocolate. We also wanted to see the Union Station Atrium, but it was taken over by some work private work party and no public was allowed in.

Miles fell asleep...like usual...But we had a really good time walking around and admiring each state tree. Lydia loved it and the little village around the Big Tree was really fun too.

Chris insisted we take their hats off for the picture....yah, good idea Chris...hahaha! And don't worry...we had Miles's other shoe. Lydia told Santa this time that she was sorry, but didn't need a new backpack (this was due to Chris and I telling her that the backpack she has now is perfectly functional and cute...) and she actually wanted a new Jesus picture and a computer like Aunt Rachel's phone and a dollhouse.
